Happy January, folks! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday this year and gobbled up enough sweets to fuel you up for the first leg of 2017. With the crazy holiday season winding down, it’s finally time to sit back down and focus on the year ahead. Here are my three new year’s resolutions for 2017:
1. Hustle Harder
I want to do something everyday that puts me one step closer to where I want to be. This could be as simple as reading an article to broaden my view, or learning a new set of skills to enhance my abilities. I feel like right now I have a really broad set of skills, but want to deepen and build upon the knowledge I already have. I will implement this into my daily life by gathering learning resources and setting up weekly schedules to follow.
2. Live More Positively
I have encountered the concept of the Law Of Attraction over the Internet quite a bit. It is the idea that what you focus on, you attract. Building off of this thought, I want to intentionally have more positive thoughts and exclude more positive energy into the world. To do this, I will have more positive views in every situation and be kinder to everyone I encounter.
3. Do More of What I Love
For those who know me know that a few of my hobbies include baking, fashion, and of course, blogging. Whenever I get immersed in a project I love, I find myself in a happy little zone (which I believe is called ‘flow’, according to PSYC305) that I want to be in more often! For baking, I want to try out new recipes and maybe even create my own. For fashion, I always find myself gravitating toward the same sweaters and jeans (especially in the winter), so I would like to style more of the clothes lying in the back of my closet. Lastly, I want to blog more consistently (at least once a week), produce higher quality content, and continue growing my social media on the side.
What are your resolutions and goals for the year? 🙂
