I’ve been gone for almost four months from this blog… ooops. But I’ve decided to come back because blogging helps me document moments and sort through my thoughts. Which is important when the dreariness of the Vancouver rainy season gets to me.
I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with winter. For starters, I don’t like cold weather. I’d much rather be under the scorching sun than miserably freezing my ass off in the cold. On top of that, the clouds and rain always make me feel like hibernating under my covers until it’s warm out again. But only to be reminded that the world doesn’t stop for me, so I better get my cold ass out of my bed to do something productive.
Buuut ironically, the holiday season is kinda my favorite because fairy lights and Christmas candy and just the whole holiday vibe gives me warm fuzzies. And the end of the year is always the time I reflect back on everything and feel grateful for what I have in my life.
Since we’re on the topic of the holidays, guess where I am going for winter break?
Dun dun dun dunnnn…
LONDON! I am beyond excited because I’ve never been to Europe before and I will be going by myself and staying with a friend for approximately a week and a half. I’m a bit nervous for traveling to a completely new country by myself, but I know I’m going to have a great time. Plus, what’s a better place to go than London to get the full holiday spirit experience?
It will be a much needed holiday after this term that’s honestly been pretty rough on me. Figuring out your future when everything is so ambiguous is actually so, so stressful, especially when there are other things on your mind as well. But that’s a whole other topic which I don’t feel like delving into too much on here yet. For now, I’ll just take one day at a time and try to enjoy the little moments here and there.
